Dandora Church Bans Women From Wearing Underwear To Church-Kenya

According to Ghetto radio, a church called ‘Lord’s Propeller Redemption Church’ has declared wearing panties to Church as ‘ungodly’. “All the women were informed not to be wearing bras and panties to the church,” a source revealed. The Church’s pastor Rev Njohi says that when people go to church, they need to be free in body and spirit in order to receive Christ. He also allegedly warned the congregation of dire consequences for failure to uphold the new law. I wonder how they are going to ensure the congregation follows this new law.(NAIJAPALS)

A Ghanaian comedian, Musah Iddrisu, and a Congolese, Inana Cedrick, have been arrested the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.

Iddrisu and Cedrick were arrested during the inward and outward screening of Ethiopian airline passengers respectively at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.

NDLEA Commander at the airport, Mr. Udoh Nsikak-Abasi, said, “Iddrisu was found to have ingested 450 grammes of cocaine. He was on his way to Thailand.  Cedrick was caught with 1.500 kilogrammes of heroin which he tried importing into the country.

“A third suspect, a Nigerian, John Nwadilichukwu, was also arrested.  He was to receive Cedrick at the airport, collect the drug and pay him for smuggling the drug.”

The heroin was said to have been hidden inside a luggage.

Twenty-year-old Cedrick, who claimed to be a secondary school student in Tanzania, said, “I was given the drug in Nairobi by a Nigerian woman who told me to give the drug to her husband, Nwadilichukwu, in Enugu.

“I wanted to use the money they promised to pay me in buying beads for sale in Tanzania. I am a secondary school student from a poor home.”

Iddrisu, aka Charles Udunehi, who bought the cocaine for $19,000, said he had wanted to sell them in Thailand.

He said, “I got involved in drug trafficking because of my financial predicament.

I bought the drugs in Ghana, ingested it and came to Enugu airport. As it is a new airport, I felt the security will not be like other airports, but I was wrong.”

Chairman of the NDLEA, Mr. Ahmadu Giade, said adequate efforts had been made to apprehend drug traffickers at the Enugu airport.

He said, “We have already deployed our officials to the Enugu airport before it commenced international flights. Adequate security measures have been put in place to apprehend drug traffickers at the airport.” (VIA NAIJAPALS)

President Jonathan’s Centenary celebration speech (READ )

To mark Nigeria’s Centenary anniversary ,GEJ addressed the  nagging Boko haram issue

My dear compatriots, as we celebrate our centenary, the security situation in some of our North-Eastern States, sadly remains a major concern for us. Just yesterday, young students, full of hopes and dreams for a great future, were callously murdered as they slept in their college dormitories in Yobe State. I am deeply saddened by their deaths and that of other Nigerians at the hands of terrorists. Our hearts go out to their parents and relatives, colleagues and school authorities.

We will continue to do everything possible to permanently eradicate the scourge of terrorism and insurgency from our country.  We recognise that the root cause of militancy, terrorism and insurgency is not the strength of extremist ideas but corrupted values and ignorance.

That is why our counter-terrorism strategy is not just about enforcing law and order as we have equipped our security forces to do. It also involves expanding economic opportunities, social inclusion, education and other measures that will help restore normalcy not just in the short term, but permanently.

I want to reassure Nigerians that terrorism, strife and insecurity in any part of Nigeria are abhorrent and unacceptable to us. I urge leaders throughout Nigeria to ensure that ethnicity and religion are not allowed to become political issues

Continue below:
1. I extend warm greetings and felicitations to all Nigerians as we celebrate our nation’s centenary; a significant milestone in our journey to Nationhood.

2.  One hundred years ago, on the 1st of January 1914, the British Colonial authorities amalgamated the Southern and Northern Protectorates, giving birth to the single geo-political entity called Nigeria which has become our home, our hope, and our heritage.

3.   I have often expressed the conviction that our amalgamation was not a mistake. While our union may have been inspired by considerations external to our people; I have no doubt that we are destined by God Almighty to live together as one big nation, united in diversity.4.   I consider myself specially privileged to lead our country into its second century of existence. And as I speak with you today, I feel the full weight of our hundred-year history. But what I feel most is not frustration, it is not disillusionment. What I feel is great pride and great hope for a country that is bound to overcome the transient pains of the moment and eventually take its rightful place among the greatest nations on earth.
5.  Like every country of the world, we have had our troubles. And we still do. We have fought a civil war. We have seen civil authorities overthrown by the military. We have suffered sectarian violence. And as I speak, a part of our country is still suffering from the brutal assault of terrorists and insurgents.

6.  While the occasion of our centenary undoubtedly calls for celebration, it is also a moment to pause and reflect on our journey of the past one hundred years, to take stock of our past and consider the best way forward for our nation.

7. Even as we celebrate our centenary, we must realise that in the context of history, our nation is still in its infancy.

8. We are a nation of the future, not of the past and while we may have travelled for a century, we are not yet at our destination of greatness.

9. The amalgamation of 1914 was only the first step in our national journey. Unification was followed by independence and democracy which have unleashed the enormous potentials of our people and laid the foundation for our nation’s greatness.

10.    In challenging times, it is easy to become pessimistic and cynical. But hope, when grounded in realism, enables and inspires progress. Therefore, as we celebrate our first century of nationhood and enter a second, we must not lose sight of all that we have achieved since 1914 in terms of nation-building, development and progress.

11.    Today, we salute once again the great heroes of our nation – Herbert Macaulay, Ernest Ikoli, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Sir Ahmadu Bello, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Alvan Ikoku, Chief Harold Dappa-Biriye, Dr. Michael Okpara, Chief Anthony Enahoro, Mallam Aminu Kano, Mokwugo Okoye and Chief Michael Imoudu among others.

12.    We must be inspired by our past to overcome the obstacles we face in the present and honour our forebears by realising the promise of a Nigeria that is not only independent but also truly unified, prosperous and admired the world over.

13.    The history of Nigeria since independence is the story of a struggle to fulfill our great promise. The discovery of oil in our country in the late 1950s offered new hope of prosperity but we have not always been able to reap the benefits in a fair and equitable way.

14.    The situation was not helped by political instability and the frequent suspension of democracy by military coups. During the civil war, the very existence of our country was cast into doubt but through it all, the promise of a Nigeria that is united, free and strong remained in our people’s hearts.

15.    Thanks to the efforts of our statesmen and women, and millions of ordinary Nigerians, the union endured and flourished.  I would like to specifically commend members of the Armed Forces for their contributions and sacrifices to keep Nigeria one.

16.    General Yakubu Gowon had the wisdom and grace to declare that the civil war had seen “no victor, no vanquished” and welcomed, “the dawn of national reconciliation”.

17.    It was in this spirit that General Olusegun Obasanjo collected the instruments of surrender at the end of the war and later became the first military ruler in our country to hand over power voluntarily to a democratic government.

18.    While the Second Republic did not last, his fine example was later followed by General Abdulsalam Abubakar who paved the way for our current democratic dispensation which has lasted longer than the previous three put together.

19.    As we celebrate our centenary, I believe that it is vital that we focus our thoughts on the vast potentials of a unified and progressive Nigeria; and build on the relative stability of the Fourth Republic to achieve accelerated national socio-economic development.
20.    I also believe that the future greatness of our country is assured by the favourable tail winds of a resilient population, ecological diversity, rich natural resources and a national consciousness that rises above our differences.

21.    We are a unique country. We have been brought together in a union like no other by providence. Our nation has evolved from three regions to thirty six states and a Federal Capital Territory.

22.    We have transited from the Parliamentary to a Presidential system of government. We have moved our capital from the coastal city of Lagos to Abuja, at the centre of our country.

23.    Today Abuja stands as a monument to our national aspiration for greater unity; it symbolises our dream of a modern nation unhinged from primordial cleavages and designed as a melting pot of our diversity.

24.    If in our first century, we could build a new capital city, we can surely build a newer, stronger, more united and prosperous Nigeria in the next century that will be an authentic African success story.

25.    The whole world awaits this African success story. With our sheer size, population, history, resilience, human and natural resources and economic potentials, Nigeria is divinely ordained to lead the African Renaissance.

26.    That is why I am confident that in the next 100 years, those who will celebrate Nigeria’s second centenary, will do so as a united, prosperous and politically stable nation which is truly the pride and glory of Africa and the entire black race.
27.    The key to the fulfilment of that vision is our continued unity as a nation. Perhaps one of the most amazing stories of our political evolution in the last hundred years is that an ordinary child of ordinary parentage from a minority group has risen to occupy the highest office in our country.

28.    As we march into the next hundred years, it is my hope that mine will no longer be an extra-ordinary story but an accepted reality of our democracy that every Nigerian child can pursue his or her dreams no matter how tall; that every Nigerian child can aspire to any position in our country, and will not be judged by the language that he speaks or by how he worships God; not by gender nor by class; but by his abilities and the power of his dreams.

29.    I am proud and privileged to have been elected leader of Nigeria and I consider it my solemn responsibility to act in the best interest of the nation at all times.

30.    Dear compatriots, in line with the thoughts of that great son of our continent, Nelson Mandela, let us not judge ourselves, and let not the world judge us by how many times we have stumbled, but by how strongly we have risen, every single time that we have faltered.

31.    Even as we remain resolute in our conviction that our union is non-negotiable, we must never be afraid to embrace dialogue and strengthen the basis of this most cherished union. A strong nation is not that which shies away from those difficult questions of its existence, but that which confronts such questions, and together provides answers to them in a way that guarantees fairness, justice and equity for all stakeholders.

32.    My call for the National Conference in this first year of our second century is to provide the platform to confront our challenges. I am confident that we shall rise from this conference with renewed courage and confidence to march through the next century and beyond, to overcome all obstacles on the path to the fulfilment of our globally acknowledged potential for greatness.

33.    I have referred to national leaders who did so much to build our nation in the past hundred years but nation-building is not just a matter for great leaders and elites alone.

34.    All Nigerians must be involved in this national endeavour. From the threads of our regional, ethnic and religious diversities we must continuously weave a vibrant collage of values that strengthen the Nigerian spirit.

35.    The coming National Conference should not be about a few, privileged persons dictating the terms of debate but an opportunity for all Nigerians to take part in a comprehensive dialogue to further strengthen our union.
36.    I am hopeful that the conference will not result in parochial bargaining between competing regions, ethnic, religious and other interest groups but in an objective dialogue about the way forward for our nation and how to ensure a more harmonious balance among our three tiers of government.

38.    We will continue to do everything possible to permanently eradicate the scourge of terrorism and insurgency from our country.  We recognise that the root cause of militancy, terrorism and insurgency is not the strength of extremist ideas but corrupted values and ignorance.

39.    That is why our counter-terrorism strategy is not just about enforcing law and order as we have equipped our security forces to do. It also involves expanding economic opportunities, social inclusion, education and other measures that will help restore normalcy not just in the short term, but permanently.

40.    I want to reassure Nigerians that terrorism, strife and insecurity in any part of Nigeria are abhorrent and unacceptable to us. I urge leaders throughout Nigeria to ensure that ethnicity and religion are not allowed to become political issues.

41.    I hope and pray that one hundred years from now, Nigerians will look back on another century of achievements during which our union was strengthened, our independence was enhanced, our democracy was entrenched and our example was followed by leaders of other nations whose ambition is to emulate the success of Nigeria; a country that met its difficulties head-on and fulfilled its promise.

42.    Finally, Dear Compatriots, as we enter a second century in the life of our nation, let us rededicate ourselves to doing more to empower the youth of our country. Our common heritage and future prosperity are best protected and guaranteed by them. We must commit our full energies and resources to empowering them to achieve our collective vision of greatness in this second century of our nationhood.

43.    That is the task before our country; that is the cause I have chosen to champion and I believe we will triumph.

44.    I wish all Nigerians happy Centenary celebrations.

45.    Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

46.       I thank you.

While chatting with Genevieve Magazine, Toke Makinwa said her she lost her parents to house fire accident way back 1993; more than 20 years ago. The recently wedded host of The Morning rose and Rhythm 93.7 FM narrated her story.

Recalling the unfortunate incident she said, “I lost both my parents in a fire incident in 1993. I remember that morning and I haven’t been able to speak about it ever since.
Remember she once shared her parent’s pics but one has never thought they are late. But come o, one question that would come to mind is how old was Toke then when she took those pictures with her late parents, because she even looked like an adult in there; I hope she’s not mistaken figures. Oh, someone please correct me! All the same, may they rest in perfect peace!!

YOBE MASSACRE: “How my mates were killed” – 14-Year-Old Survivor Narrates His Shocking Experience!

                       Yobe-Victim
“I was shot on my left leg, while I was sleeping.  When I woke up, I could not walk and was later taken to the girls hostel where the insurgents gathered us with the female students. They selected some of the female students and went away with them, while they left some of us groaning in pain from gun shot”. Those were the words of 14-year-old Ibrahim Musa Lampo, a JSS 2 student of Federal Government College, FGC, Bunu Yadi, Yobe State who was one of the lucky survivors of the Boko Haram massacre on Tuesday, which claimed the lives of 43 students. The insurgents also burnt the hostels, classrooms and more than 40 houses during the attack. Ibrahim who recounted his experience while groaning in pains was receiving treatment for gunshot injuries at the General Sani Abacha Specialist Hospital, Damaturu. His mother, Hajiya Hauwa Lampo, who was sitting beside him on the hospital bed lamented the inability of government to protect the lives of the innocent students. The mother passionately appealed to the Federal Government to “provide adequate security for all unity schools in Nigeria, particularly in the north eastern region of the country by constructing a fence that will shield the students from intruders. And if the government can not deploy adequate security personnel, they should despatch sniffer dogs into the schools to patrol every nook and corner and this will go a long way in curbing the insurgency.” Ibrahim’s father, Mallam Musa Lampo, an immigration officer was still in shock over the incident and simply said: “I have committed everything into the hands of God.” Boko Haram attacks Thousands of Nigerians from the troubled North eastern states are fleeing into Niger Republic as the Boko Haram attacks heightens fears in the region. A source in the North-East, yesterday, said tens of thousands of people have gone to Niger Republic to escape a wave of attacks and bombings by Islamist sect Boko Haram, which is fighting to carve out an Islamic country from the northern states. The government in Niamey has granted them refugee status, but United Nations workers say it has also banned the construction of formal camps, fearing any structures could encourage an even bigger influx — or even bring fighters over the border. “We’re living on the charity and hospitality of locals and aid organizations,” said 28-year-old Umara. “It’s difficult to feed my family. We eat once a day, twice at best.” A spokesman for Niger’s Interior Ministry was not immediately available for comment. But Hassane Ardo Ido, General-Secretary of Diffa province, said authorities feared militants might infiltrate the camps and use them as bases. “We are trying to handle the situation and stop any act that could hurt our security,” he said. The United Nations High Commission for Refugees, UNHCR, country representative in Niger, Karl Steinacker, said Niamey was particularly worried because most of the refugees came from the Kanuri ethnic group, a stronghold of Boko Haram. “The authorities are worried the Nigerian insurgency might spill over into Niger,” he said. Meanwhile, condemnations have continued to trail the massacre of the students. Vanguard

Imoh Ezekiel has not dumped Nigeria, says Keshi

Imoh Ezekiel has not dumped Nigeria, says Keshi
The Super Eagles coach has confirmed the Belgium-based youngster's readiness to play for the national team and rejected growing rumour linking the forward to the Red Devils

Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has dispelled rumours that Standard Liege forward Imoh Ezekielis seeking to dump his country of birth for Belgium.
Keshi has handed the former 36 Lion striker an invitation in his 23-man team for the March 5 international friendly against Mexico in Atlanta, USA.

The coach, who is on holiday with his family in the USA, reacted to the rumours and described it as baseless.

“I speak with the lad every time and he has expressed his willingness to be part of the Eagles. I wonder where people got that story that he has dumped Nigeria,” Keshi was quoted by the Tribune.

Ezekiel’s rejection of invitation from former U-20 coach John Obuh to play for Nigeria at the 2013 African Youth Championship in Algeria unargubly has continued to heighten fears of his willingness.

The CAF African coach of the Year, assured Nigerians on the 20-year-old forward’s resolve to play for his fatherland.

“He told me he can’t wait to wear the Eagles jersey and I think the Mexico friendly will be a perfect stage to do that,” said Keshi.

Manchester United's Olympiakos embarrassment simply as bad as memory allows

Manchester United's Olympiakos embarrassment simply as bad as memory allows
The 2-0 defeat to Greek champions Olympiakos has left David Moyes' side on the brink of going out of Europe with one of the worst performances in the club's proud history

COMMENT
By Paul Clennam

There have been some contemptible performances from Manchester United already this season. Some gutless, lazy, insipid even. There has already been plenty enough to wear away the fans' early-season optimism and enough evidence to suggest that this squad, this manager, are out of their depth.

But this, a 2-0 defeat to Olympiakos so devoid of character or fight that you were at times left wondering why the Premier League champions even bothered to travel, was as bad as memory allows.

After over a quarter of a century of absolute, relentless success at Old Trafford, you would think that the Schadenfreude from non-United fans would have taken a little longer to subside during this now absolute, relentless misery of a season but the joke – in every sense of the word - isn’t even particularly funny anymore.

Tom Cleverley didn’t so much concede possession as wilfully donate it to his hosts as an act of diplomatic goodwill. Robin van Persie touched the ball 12 times in the first half and then wasted United’s only real chance of the second by hammering it over. Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young ran down the wings time and again and then opted to embarrass themselves rather than cross the football.

United will need to score three goals at Old Trafford in three weeks’ time if they are to progress further into a competition which houses far better, far more ruthless teams than the Greeks who outplayed them this evening. If this was an easy draw, the alternative doesn’t bear thinking about.

Conceding Alejandro Dominguez’s deflected opener was typical of a side that isn’t playing well enough to earn its own luck, never mind stem the tide of misfortune that has been battering David Moyes and his side this term. Joel Campbell’s stunner for the home side’s second was a beautiful lesson in how to punish a team seemingly unwilling to defend with any semblance of organisation or intensity.

The occasional glimpse of brilliance from Nemanja Vidic and the introduction of the industrious Danny Welbeck will not make the four-hour flight from Athens back to Manchester any easier for United fans. The clouds are too heavy at the club to spot the silver linings.

Had Moyes rallied the troops rather than remained slumped on his bench as the hosts’ second breached David De Gea and put United’s chances of progression in serious doubt, there could have at least been solace in knowing that all those at the club acknowledge that this simply isn’t good enough. Like his team, there wasn’t nearly enough forthcoming.

This will go down as one of the worst United losses in the club's history. There have been heavier humiliations and perhaps more damaging defeats, but not for a long, long time has the club faced a crisis quite like this.

Michael Carrick faced the TV cameras at full time but couldn’t summon the words to admit that the players had let themselves down.

Let me do it for him: they have. And it is simply unacceptable.

"Etoo Is 32, Maybe He Is 35, I Have No Strikers" - Mourinho Laments

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, was an angry man yesterday, after footage of him slamming his strikers found its way into public space.

The Portuguese’s remarks about Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba were captured by French TV company Canal+, when the former Real Madrid boss attended Hublot’s sponsorship launch last week.

Mourinho believed he was having a private chat with senior representatives of the Swiss company, but to his shock, he was being filmed.

“I have a team but no striker,” Mourinho said. “It is not possible for us to win the Premier League.

“We have Samuel Eto’o. Yes, Eto’o. but he is 32, maybe even 35, I don’t know.”

However, in what he thought was the official interview with Canal+, Mourinho denied that the club would swap Eden Hazard for Edinson Cavani and ruled out a move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He also confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain wanted him to take over after he left Madrid.

“I did not say yes or no – I did not receive a direct offer,” he continued. “We have a relationship. But I don’t want to feed false questions – I want to stay. I have four years left on my contract and then we will see.”

Horrible: Police Officer Sentenced To Death For Killing 2 People Over N100 Bribe

A police officer and two colleagues have found themselves on the wrong side of the law after being convicted of murder.

The three officers were found guilty of causing the death of two people due to a tussle over a bribe of N100.

One of them, Sergeant Clement Indyel, was sentenced to death, while the other two received life sentences. The sentence was pronounced by a high court sitting in Rivers yesterday.

The Sun reports that delivering the judgement yesterday, the trial judge, Justice Biobele Georgewill, said the convicts conspired to murder the victims, Chinyeaka Kamalu and Ugochukwu Harcourt, on January 17, 2010, in the state capital.

Justice Georgewill in his judgement pronounced death sentence by hanging on Sergeant Clement Indyel, while Sergeant Ali Bello and PC Auwalu Kwale respectively, were sentenced to life imprisonment.

According to him, the convicted policemen, who were serving under the state police command, were charged for felony, murder and conspiracy by the state, for the murder of the victims, who were among the passengers attacked by the three officers over N100 bribe.

He said having heard the submissions made by the counsel and gone through the evidence presented before the court, he was of the view that the convicted officers conspired to murder the two persons in the bus because the driver refused to pay them the bribe of N100.

He said the only way the souls of the victims could rest in peace for unjust murder by police officers who were meant to protect them was to allow law to take its cause.

Mercy Johnson Nollywood Ban: Marketers Say They Will Not Lift Ban Until She Apologizes!

In November 2013 it was revealed that actress Mercy Johnson had been banned by The Film and Video Producers and Marketers Association of Nigeria (FVPMAN) for “unbecoming attitude of the actress as it affects  her work.”
That was the official reason, the real reason had to do with her fees…Mercy Johnson who is currently teh highest paid actress in Nollywood charges between N1.8 Million & N2 Million per movie
In the latest development concerning Mercy Johnson’s ban it has been gathered that the marketers have vowed not to lift the ban until the actress tenders a letter of apology to them through their  umbrella body, Film and Video Producers and Marketers Association of Nigeria, FVPMAN.
But according to Vanguard, all is not well with the rank and file in the marketers’ body since they slammed the ban on the actress.

Read more below:
According to a reliable source, while the chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the association, Mr Nobert Ajaegbu granted an interview last year, disowning  the proposed ban of the actress, his aggrieved members who were dissatisfied with his action have refused to pay their dues to the association.
Following this development, Mr. Ajaegbu is said to have changed his position in order to give  peace a chance. He told HVP that he decided to retrace his steps after he found out that  Mercy Johnson actually committed all the things she was accused of. He said, “It was a case of established indiscipline on the part of Mercy Johnson,”
In a statement made available to HVP, Ajaegbu  who doubles as FVPMAN spokesman, addressed  some of the salient issues surrounding Mercy’s  alleged ban.
According to him, “We did not ban Mercy because; we have resolved never to play ourselves god in any one’s life.
We only resolved to severe our business relationship with her because she have shown strong disregard to the rules of professional conduct and abuse on the terms of  production contracts.”
Ajaegbu said, the ban was a “factor of mixed truth and falsehood. The issue in question has no bearing on her fee or charges as widely speculated. It is a function of misconduct, unjust and unfair treatment of film producers.  We are obviously not agitated over what Mercy is being paid because, we pay the bills. We are strongly agitated because we anticipate that professional justification ought to have been given to the contract to act or perform. We believe that the sanctity of contract ought to have been respected.”

He went on to say, “The facts as we know before are that some of our members contracted Mercy at a particular scale of charge, when she collected money from higher bidders, she disregarded the contracts at lesser price and to some, she gave stringent and unprofessional conditions. We had written a letter to her in this regard about a year ago. The letter was a private advice from our union as well as a caution. We thought it wise to first caution her in case it was an unconscious attitude. Her inconsiderate attitude of disregarding this untold hardship on producers leaves us with no option, than to severe this uncommon relationship. It is not a ban, but simply a survival strategy. We took our time to investigate these allegations and came to the conclusion that they are not spurious. We did strong internal engagements, disagreements before arriving at the actual prove of facts relating to this issue.
Since the speculation in late October, last year, we had anticipated her to demonstrate some sort of remorse.
What we see is more of blackmail and ridicule. What is said to the world by her publicist was the tale of how we are unable to afford her charges or  portray  our people as envious of what she is being paid.”

Well…damn! They really have it out for her

after the cut
This night be a little graphic but I just want to let everyone know that I am okay. I am a survivor of domestic violence with a boy I dated for 8 months.

I really thought everything was fine but he constantly questioned me about cheating and flirting. Non sense. I never looked at someone the way he looked at me. Thought I loved this boy.

How can someone that 'loves' me do this to me? The scars on my chest are way worse and extend down to my right chest, completely scarred. The skin on my shoulder has been completely skinned. And i have bruising on my rib cage, neck, and my muscles. I was kicked out of a moving vehicle, then beaten and dragged, as I blacked out and was left lying there in my own puddle of blood.

Doctors said I could have died if I had not made it when I did. I am so blessed and beyond lucky to be alive and have so much support from friends, family, and strangers. As I try to recover, I ask you to please keep me in your prayers. I have to wear a neck brace for 3-4 weeks, an arm cast and I can barely walk for now. Thank you for all the love. I hope to be an inspiration to women and anyone involved in domestic violence.

According to the victims, the suspected kidnappers also demanded for their parents’ name and telephone numbers, with which they started calling them, demanding for the sum of twenty million naira.

It was gathered that they later reduced the ransom to ten thousand naira, with a threat that if the police were involved, they would will kill the victims.

The police spokesman in Enugu State, Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the incident to DailyPost stated that “the case was reported to the state command and the commissioner of police Adamu Mohammed Abubakar directed the anti-kidnapping outfit to swing into action and to that extent, operation was carried out through information garnered from relevant quarters leading to the arrest of one of the gang members identified as Ngeneoke Chinugo of Ituku village in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State”.
